My sons just recently received their 1st Holy Communion. I made this for their class as a souvenir for them to keep. And I am now sharing it with everyone. :)

If anyone is interested to make orders for these...please write me an email. We can always make arrangements. :) Also, more new designs will be out soon. So, keep a look out! Have a blessed day!

One man's junk is another man's treasure

I find this to be so true. In many cases, we tend to throw away a lot of the recycleable items and dont put much thought to it. But let me deter you for a minute and rethink what these "JUNKS" can do for us and especially me! Lol.

These are few of the items I have recycled into gift items.. Tee hee...
1) OLD CDs or DVDs

2) Tiles

3)  Old christmas greeting cards

4)  Old condensed milk cans. Coca cola and other tin cans can be used also.

5) Even Garden rocks can be recycled! :)

So, give yourselves a try. Need more ideas? Well... :) I will try and add more soon. Meanwhile, Have fun! *hugs*

Starting A New Craft Swap Club

It's been nudging me for as long as I can remember...*sigh* So, I am seriously thinking of starting one. :) My next question would be, where, when and how? I am also planning on spanning it out online too. :) So, I get to meet more people!!! Yipee!!!

OK, I have my pen, papers and ideas (all locked up in my brains...lol) and just starring blankly at them. Oh gosh! Sometimes, when you wish your brains would cooperate and work faster..they wont!

I do a lot of scrapbooking, card making...practically anything to do with paper *BIG GRIN* You can say... a paper recycler in a new way..lol

Anyhow, I am open for positive comments, ideas and if anyone is interested to join in my club...please feel free to call me on my mobile @ 012-5916377 or you can email me..either way works fine for me. :)

So, have a great day everyone! *hugs*

Quilling-Cloth Peg

I did this a while back for a friend who needed to present my portfolio. This was done at the spur of the moment. Its amazing to imagine that, even a daily simple cloth peg can be transformed in an art! I love recycling old items into gift items. :)

Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and the coil shaped, these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns similar to ironwork.

It takes patience but easy to do though. ;)
Here are a few samples of what quilling looks like:
